Engineering is the discipline, art, and profession of acquiring and applying scientific, mathematical, economic, social, and practical knowledge to design and build structures, machines, devices, systems, materials and processes that safely realize improvements to the lives of people. The department being an integral and basic part of the college focuses on promoting the discovery and application of scientific knowledge in a manner that prepares the students to contribute effectively, intellectually and ethically as citizens of a dynamic scientific community.

Under Autonomous system we have more emphasis on continuous evaluation as well as on analytical studies. The syllabus is designed in a way to have learner centric system. There is more hands on practice, projects, mini-model competition for students in turn to cope up with the industrial requirements. The foundation of engineering education is laid through the knowledge of basic principles of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Communication Skills, Programming for problem solving, Data Structure & Analytics, Analog Circuit, Waste Management, Introduction to Digital System, Bio System in Engineering, AC & DC Circuits & Machines, Internet of Things and Embedded programming etc. Engineering is incomplete without application of science and Technology. No wonder that lot of stress is given on these subjects in engineering education. Since inception the department is progressing to keep pace with the latest technological changes and the needs of the students’ who have to face the global challenges.

Under Autonomous system we have given more emphasis on continuous evaluation as well as on analytical studies. The syllabus is designed in a way to have learner centric system. There is more hands on practice through practicals, projects, mini-model. Through industry visits and guest lectures students are made aware about the current Industry requirements.

Fractional Credit Scheme

In the new scheme implemented this year, fractional credits are given to all types of academic work, not just taught courses. Thus due credit is also given to less frequently taught subjects that lead to increase in skilled workforce in different specialized fields. Grooming is very important part of an individual’s personality. In the current teaching scheme specific efforts are taken to groom students’ to bring about a positive change in their life, boosting their confidence, learning of fine etiquettes and manners, and overall imbibing in them positivity, liveliness and peace. Through liberal & creative arts, Ethics & Professional Competencies & Communication Skill based on Cambridge English course, personalities of students are developed so that they become well-cultured with all the necessary skill sets which are required to be a smart global citizen.
