Code of conduct:

Student must abide by the rules and regulations framed by the Student must abide by the rules and regulations framed by the institute from time to time. The student is expected to read the notices put up no the notice board of the college regularly. The college is not responsible for any loss or damage caused to the student due to his failure to read the notices from time to time. Any change in the residential address of the student must be communicated to the office immediately. Students should carry their identity card while in the college. Specific sets of regulations covering particular areas of the College may be posted from time to time to time by the Dean, after being approved by the College Management Committee, and must be respected. Students must inform the College Office of their term-time and permanent addresses and any changes there of. Playing games on the campus is prohibited. For misbehavior of any nature, the student will be liable to severe punishment upto rustication.

Dress code (Saturday casual descent ware):

To enforce discipline among the students, the College authority has introduced College Uniform for the Students since 1997. The students are to wear Uniform compulsorily as per following specification.
For Boys: - Dark green trousers and blazer with white striped shirt and green tie. Only black shoes are permitted

For Girls: - Dark green trousers and blazer with white striped shirt . Only black shoes/ bellies are permitted
Students without proper College Uniform will be debarred from attending Classes / College. Saturday is a casual day which means the students can wear other decent civil dress. Ragging Rules: Ragging in any form is strictly forbidden by law. The students should not be found involved in ragging. Maharashtra prohibition on Ragging Act 1999 has the following provision for action against Ragging. Ragging within or outside any educational institution is prohibited. Whosoever, directly of indirectly commits participates in, abets or propagates ragging within of outside any educational institution shall, on conviction be punished with imprisonment for a term upto 2 years and /of penalty which may extend to ten thousand rupees. Any student convicted of an offence of ragging shall be dismissed from the educational institution for period of five year from the date of order of such dismissal.


In preparation for career as a professional engineer, students are strongly encouraged to develop safety consciousness and practice it while at College. Students are expected to behave sensibly at all times. The following instructions for students are intended only as general guidelines:

  • Student must never work alone in a laboratory or workshop. All laboratory and workshop activities must be supervised by a member of academic or technical staff. Students should never operate any laboratory or working equipment without permission and supervision (other than normal use of computing or drawing office facilities).
  • For Practicals work, loose clothing, jewellery or long hair could be a danger to yourself or others and you must comply with Health and Safety requirements. Similarly, when outside the campus as part of your course (e.g. industrial visits or projects, special workshop courses, etc) you shall be required to comply with the safety directives of the organization you visit.
  • If, as part of your course activities, you are issued with safety equipment (e.g. gloves, goggles, overalls, helmet, earmuffs, film badges, etc) you must use them in the correct fashion. Failure to do so will result in you being excluded immediately from the activity and being treated as absent for any assessment purposes. If you are engaged in any activity for which you feel that safety equipment should have been issued and was not, please do not hesitate to consult the supervisor or technician.
  • Please report immediately to the nearest member of staff for any spillages (e.g. mercury, fuel, and chemicals), accidents or broken or defective equipment, whether you were involved or not. Do not attempt to clean up or rectify the matter without supervision.
  • First-aid boxes are located at Library, Administrative Building, offices of Heads of Departments, workshops and in chemistry Laboratory.
