Industry in India is facing a unique challenge, on one hand there is a huge requirement of skilled manpower and on the other hand pool of graduates though large in number, lack essential skills. This skill gap can be filled by providing Hands on experience in the industry through industry internships, at various points in the course like 6 weeks and 6 months internship. This has prompted MHRD and AICTE to formulate Internship Policy. AICTE has made the internships mandatory for all the engineering college students across India. It has proposed 600-700 hours of Internships and allotted 14-20 credits of the course for the same. The event will provide a platform for Industry and Institutes to discuss the policy details,Skills required, Challenges for Industries and Institutions to implement mandatory industry internship. The day-long event will also feature keynote speeches on Industry 4.0 and panel discussions on Sectorwise skill requirements.

The event will witness the presence of galaxy of speakers like Mr. Mohit Gambhir, Innovation Director, MHRD Innovation Cell, Government of India, Dr. Avichal Kapur, Joint Secretary, UGC, Mr. Arvind Kumar, Centre Head, TCS Nagpur, Mr. R.
